Player Mechanics:

  • Mage was seriously reworked
    • Lowered health
    • old special attack now triggers automatically at max souls
    • Special attack was changed to a throwable poison puddle that damages enemies standing in it
  • Tank
    • AOE alt attack now can reflect projectiles 
  • When the player moves when firing weapons the bullets now travel at the players final rotation 
    • This makes weapons feel more accurate and align with player expectations better
  • Improved player's dash invincibility frames

Enemy Mechanics:

  • Floor 2 enemies added 
    • Winged snake added 
    • Monkey enemy added
    • Quetzalcoatl added
      • Full boss fight implemented with two stages!
  • Enemies have better pathfinding and don't get stuck on obstacles as often 
  • Damage reworks to most enemies
  • Enemy spawning scales in difficulty based on progress
  • Enemy's can now get a shield after a certain amount of progress 

Environment:

  • Two floors to explore!!
  • New wind traps added
  • Environment object generation reworked
    • spawns on a grid instead of randomly now

Accessibility:

  • Added a pause screen 
  • Added a restart screen

Story:

  • Rewrite to introduction story

Visual:

  • Added fog of war and lighting effects for fire and explosions
  • Improved player blindness condition
  • Added buttons
  • New sprites added for all new enemies and player attacks

Bug fixes:

  • Screen display bug fixes
  • Fixed shop button staying selected after leaving a shop
